	PILOTAGE ASSOCIATION OF THE PORT AND RIVER OF BILBAO

Pilot boats are vessels that require certain specific features for a very specific activity.
They require reinforced hulls and a high level of manoeuvrability to approach ships; especially in a
port like Bilbao, given the state of the Cantabrian Sea.

Currently, there are
four boats in active service.
Two new boats have been added
over the last two years to
renew the fleet, with the
consequent investment effort.
